Last Saturday started off ok, but we knew the rain was coming! Below you can see how foggy it was. The craft show was fun and definitely worth my while considering we were only out there for 3.5 of the 8 hours it was open. By noon, the tents were zipped and people were gone. The rain was pouring down and it was starting to thunder and lightening. Needless to say, there were NO shoppers! Here are a couple pictures of my "booth." Thankfully my stuff was quick and easy to take down!

Bows Ready for Craft Show
Here are a couple pictures of the bows I have been making. These will be displayed (and hopefully sold) at the craft show next weekend. The 2nd picture are the ones I designed for Halloween. If you are interested in purchasing any of these bows, please e-mail me @ marylewis1224@hotmail.com
Prices range from $2-$6 depending on the size of the bow and the ribbon(s) used.
Update
As you can see, I have spent some time redesigning the blog. It has actually take quite a bit of time to get it just as I want it. However, since this is a blog and not a "real website," my choices are limited. I am happy with it...for now!
The Sewanee Arts and Crafts show is next Saturday, September 26th from 9am-5pm. I have been (and will be) making lots of bows for that day. Yesterday I made some Halloween bows and I may do some Christmas bows, as well.
I have started thinking about how I will display the bows on the tables. I have them clipped on a ribbon which is taped to a piece of foam board and that seems to work well. There are still some details to be figured out, but that probably won't happen until Saturday morning. I am not typically a procrastinator but some things just have to wait until the last minute. Knowing me, I will arrange and rearrange the displays many, many times until I am satisfied with the way it looks. Sure hope my efforts are worth it!

Hats, too!
Craft Show is ON!!
I got some great news the other day...I have a spot at the Sewanee Arts and Craft Fair on September 26th! I am really excited and can't wait! I took a little break from the bows and spent some time knitting hats. I have made 5 already and I hope to sell those at the craft fair, too. I made another trip to get more fun ribbon this weekend and I plan to spend some time (while the kids are napping) this week making bows again. I have quite a few ready to go, but I need to do a bunch more so my table doesn't look skimpy.
Last week I sold 8 bows. One bunch to a friend here at Sewanee and the other to a friend in Arkansas...Thanks guys!
